Jon Coventry is the Director of Production at Banks Sadler. He leads a team focussed on providing conferences & events that not only engage their audiences but help to drive positive action after the event, be it employee engagement or brand commitment.
Jon began his career in technical theatre working in the West End and also on tour across the UK working on shows such as Grease, Les Miserables, Blood Brothers, Rent & ART. He then went on to work for the Millennium Dome where he finished in 2001 as Deputy Head of Lighting with responsibilities across the entire site from the Central Show through to the surrounding zones and getting involved with many of the corporate and public events that happened on the site including Miss World 2000, 2000 Bollywood Awards and the closing show of London Fashion Week.
Following the Dome, Jon provided production management for many events including awards ceremonies, dinners and marketing events including the CIPD awards and the “UK OK” PR launch at the Tower of London. He was then invited to set up the Production Dept. at White Light providing technical equipment and production for events at some of London’s most prestigious venues including the Natural History Museum , V&A Museum and many of the Historic Royal Palaces.
Jon then went onto join employee engagement agency INVOLVE where he was head of production, working with corporate clients delivering their internal conferences.
During his free time he can be found in the skies of the UK putting into practice his private pilot’s licence.
